Dec 16:- Staying true to its promise of delivering refreshing and relatable family entertainment, &TV is set to expand its fiction slate with the launch of its new show Gharwali Pedwali. Produced by Peninsula Productions, the light-hearted family comedy with a quirky supernatural twist will premiere on December 15 at 10:00 PM, and will air Monday to Friday.
The show features an engaging cast led by Paras Arora as Jeetu Pandey, Seerat Kapoor as Savi (Gharwali), and Priyamvada Kant as Latika (Pedwali). The ensemble cast includes Richa Soni, Geeta Bisht, Harsh Vashisht, Brij Bhushan Shukla, and Amitabh Ghanekar in pivotal roles.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of Varanasi, Gharwali Pedwali blends slice-of-life humour with magical unpredictability. At its core is Prithvi Mishra aka Jeetu, a man whose life has always revolved around unexpected “twos” two mothers, two fathers, two bosses, and now, in a bizarre twist of fate, two wives. What begins as a simple quest for marital bliss with his real wife, Savi, turns into comic chaos when an astrological ritual leads to a symbolic tree marriage. The harmless ceremony takes an unforeseen turn when Latika, a spirited ghost from another era, enters Jeetu’s life believing herself to be his rightful bride.
As Jeetu navigates the madness created by his modern, practical wife and his whimsical, old-world ghost companion, the show unfolds into a hilarious tug-of-war filled with emotional moments, comedic clashes, and supernatural mischief doubling the drama and doubling the fun.
