KIIT World School’s ‘Shera’s Tribe’ Promotes Global Compassion for Animals

Gurgaon, 8th october 2025: The Animal Fan Club of KIIT World School, Sohna Road, known as Shera’s Tribe, hosted an inspiring event to promote animal welfare and compassion, welcoming special guests Hayle Blake and Jacquelin Kelleher from the Helen Woodward Animal Center, California.

The celebration featured a series of creative and engaging activities. The day began with a warm welcome followed by an engaging Animal Yoga session by Grade II students and a lively animal-themed dance performance by the Primary Section. Students also showcased their creativity through paintings, paper art, and other artworks on the theme of animals, which impressed the visiting 

The guests admired the students’ talent and thoughtfulness, appreciating how their work conveyed messages of kindness and care for all living beings. Students also recited a heartfelt poem by Mike Arms, CEO and Founder of the Helen Woodward Animal Center, and presented an overview of Shera’s Tribe’s various initiatives.

As part of the international campaign “Remember Me Thursday”, the guests distributed goodie bags to students and delivered an insightful presentation on the importance of adopting shelter dogs and rescuing animals in need. A moving pledge-taking ceremony followed, where both students and teachers vowed to protect animals and contribute towards creating a compassionate world.

The visit concluded with a guided tour of the school’s Trash to Treasure Garden and Butterfly Conservatory, which left the guests impressed by the school’s commitment to environmental and animal welfare. Principal of KIIT World School, Neelima Kamrah praised the students’ dedication, stating, “Initiatives like these not only nurture compassion and responsibility but also connect our students to global efforts in animal welfare, empowering them to make a meaningful impact.”
