According to reports, the group had gone to the riverbank for bathing when they were reportedly taking selfies. During this time, a sudden increase in water flow and strong currents caught them off guard, pulling all three into deeper waters.

Alert local residents immediately launched a rescue effort and, with the help of a boat, managed to pull two youths to safety.

On receiving information, fire service personnel and local authorities reached the spot and joined the search operation for the missing youth. However, rescue efforts have been hampered by strong currents and fading daylight conditions.

Search operations are ongoing, with teams continuing efforts to trace the missing individual. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation.

Officials have once again urged the public to exercise caution near rivers and water bodies, particularly during periods of strong flow and unpredictable currents.
