Kolkata, Dec 20: The third season of the TV9 Bangla Ghorer Bioscope Awards 2025 concluded recently with a spectacular ceremony that paid tribute to iconic milestones in Indian cinema. The flagship property of TV9 Bangla honoured legendary contributions across Bengali and Bollywood cinema that bears the excellence across films, OTT, and television.
This year’s edition paid special tributes to Bollywood’s He-Man Dharmendra, celebrated the acting brilliance of Santosh Dutta, marked 50 glorious years of the cult classic Sholay, and commemorated the centenary of Bengali cinema’s beloved Mahanayak Uttam Kumar.
The evening opened with the timeless song “Ye Dosti Hum Nahi Todenge” from Sholay, portraying the celebrated camaraderie of the Abir–Parambrata duo, both on and off screen. This was followed by a power-packed performance on “Mehbooba”, mellifluous songs from the golden era of the 1950s featuring Uttam Kumar and Santosh Dutta, and vibrant performances by Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, blending exuberance, nostalgia, and legacy.
Adding to the evening’s grandeur were special performances by Jazz City, soon to be streamed on Sony LIV.
