It was informed that Census–2027 will be conducted in two phases. In the first phase, House Listing operations will be carried out from April 1 to April 15 through self-enumeration (self-reporting), and from April 16 to April 30 through enumerators.
In the second phase, Population Enumeration will be conducted in February 2026.
As per Rule 10, census operations are conducted once every ten years. The last census was held in 2011. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 Census could not be conducted.
This time, the entire census process will be carried out completely through digital mode. Therefore, the importance of proper training has increased significantly, said Charge Officer Mr. Mahant.
