Malkangiri, May 15: To ensure quality healthcare facilities for the people of Malkangiri district, a special specialist medical camp under the “Chief Minister’s Air Health Service” began today at the District Headquarters Hospital premises.
On this occasion, the hospital authorities and medical team warmly welcomed the distinguished specialist doctors who arrived from Cuttack by presenting them with flower bouquets. Senior officials and hospital staff participated in the reception programme.
The special medical camp has generated great enthusiasm among the people. Senior staff members of the Malkangiri District Headquarters Hospital extended their greetings to the eminent specialists and wished for the success of the camp.
Experienced doctors from SCB Medical College and Hospital have joined the initiative. The specialist team includes neurologist Dr. Shubhendu Kumar Basu, endocrinologist Dr. Bandana Das, nephrologist Dr. Anurag Senapati, anesthesiologist Dr. Gautam Tripathy, cardiologist Dr. Syed Asad Jalil, surgeon Dr. Debashish Panigrahi, and gastroenterology and liver disease specialist Dr. Sitanshu Sekhar Pradhan.
These specialists have come together to provide treatment and consultation for patients suffering from complex diseases in Malkangiri district.
The camp, which will continue from May 12 to May 15, is witnessing the participation of hundreds of patients arriving from various parts of the district for health check-ups and expert medical advice.
Earlier, patients had to depend on cities like Cuttack and Bhubaneswar for advanced treatment. Now, through the “Air Health Service,” many of those healthcare facilities are being made available closer to their homes.
To ensure the smooth conduct of the programme, the Chief District Medical Officer and other administrative officials are actively supervising the arrangements.
