Outstanding Achievement as Participants Win Silver Medals at National Mountaineering Training Camp

Nabarangpur,May 15:  Bhubaneswari Nayak, a student of Bhairaba Degree College, brought गौरव to the district by winning two silver medals at the National Mountaineering Training Camp held at Damthang in Sikkim. She secured third place in both the 5-km cross-country race and the mountaineering competition.
After being selected at the district level for the National NCC Mountaineering Training Programme, Bhubaneswari participated in the training camp organized at the Indian Himalayan Center for Adventure and Eco Tourism in Damthang, Sikkim. During the camp, she achieved third place in the 5-km cross-country race and received a silver medal. Similarly, she also earned another silver medal by securing third place in the challenging mountaineering competition.
Cadets from various parts of the country participated in the National NCC training camp. Among the participants from Odisha, two cadets were from Rayagada district, while Bhubaneswari represented Nabarangpur district and achieved this remarkable success.
The training camp was conducted for 20 days, from April 8 to April 28. Bhubaneswari Nayak is currently a third-year undergraduate student and a resident of Kamata village under Junapani Panchayat in Dabugam block.
Earlier, she had also undergone mountaineering training in Darjeeling from November 17 to December 17, 2025.
Following her achievement, the teachers of Bhairaba Degree College, intellectuals, and local residents highly praised her accomplishment and wished her continued success in the future.
