Odisha Government Constitutes Transgender Welfare Board to Strengthen Inclusive Policies and Support Systems

Bhubaneswar, April 23:  The state government has constituted a Transgender Welfare Board to work for the welfare and empowerment of the transgender community.
The Chief Secretary will serve as the Chairperson of the board. The Secretary of the Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department will act as the Vice-Chairperson.
The Director of the SSEPD Department will function as the Member Secretary of the board. Additionally, the Director General of Police will also be a member.
In total, the board will consist of 19 members, including the Chairperson.
