Odisha Government Announces Hike in Dearness Allowance for Employees, Bringing Major Financial Relief to Lakhs of Staff and Pensioners

Bhubaneswar, May 25:  The Dearness Allowance (DA) for government employees has been increased.
Around 8 lakh employees and pensioners will benefit.
The Chief Minister announced a 2% increase in Dearness Allowance.
The DA has been raised from 58% to 60%.
The increased DA will be effective retrospectively from January 2026.
The revised DA amount will be paid in cash with the salary of the current month.
