Bhubaneswar:March, 14: In order to make the administrative system more dynamic, the state government has carried out a major reshuffle at the IAS level. In this process, several officers from the 2012 batch to the 2022 batch have been given new postings.
Key Appointments and Transfers:
Manish Kumar Agrawal (2012 Batch): Previously serving as Additional Special Relief Commissioner, he has been appointed as the Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS).
Prathamesh Arvind Rajeshirke (2021 Batch): Formerly the Commissioner of Brahmapur Municipal Corporation (BeMC), he has been appointed as the District Collector of Malkangiri.
Somesh Kumar Upadhyay (2017 Batch): Transferred from the post of District Collector of Malkangiri and appointed as Director of Textiles and Handlooms.
Smruti Ranjan Pradhan (2012 Batch): Appointed as Managing Director of Odisha Small Industries Corporation (OSIC) and given additional charge as CEO of Startup Odisha.
Siddharth Das (2012 Batch): Transferred from the post of Registrar of Cooperative Societies and appointed as Director of Fisheries.
Madhusmita Sahu (2013 Batch): Assigned the responsibilities of Director of Teacher Education and SCERT, along with additional charge as Additional Secretary in the School and Mass Education Department.
Akbaram Sasya Reddy (2022 Batch): Promoted from the post of Sub-Collector of Jeypore and appointed as Commissioner of Brahmapur Municipal Corporation (BeMC).
New Initiative:
For the first time, the government has appointed an IAS officer as Additional District Magistrate (ADM) in Paradip. Akshaya Pilley (2022 Batch) has been entrusted with this important responsibility.
Additionally, Sameer Kumar Jena (Ganjam), Arugula Sneha (Mayurbhanj), and Saumyarajan Pradhan (Kalahandi) have been appointed as Chief Development Officers (CDO) and Executive Officers (EO) of the respective Zilla Parishads.
