Mumbai, Nov 24th: Lloyds Kali Ammal Memorial (LKAM) Hospital has marked a significant milestone with its 300th successful baby delivery, underscoring the growing trust and confidence of the Gadchiroli community in its healthcare services. In just two years since its establishment, the hospital has evolved into a vital healthcare lifeline for families across the region.

To commemorate the occasion, Mr. B. Prabhakaran, Managing Director, visited the hospital to meet the newborn and congratulate the family. As a gesture of goodwill and blessings, he presented them with a gold chain. The moment holds special meaning, as LKAM Hospital founded in November 2023 through Mr. Prabhakaran’s vision—was created to ensure that families in remote areas no longer have to endure long journeys for essential medical care. The hospital’s development was supported wholeheartedly by local villagers, reflecting collective community ownership.
Reflecting on the achievement, Mr. Prabhakaran said;
“We will continue this journey with humility, empathy and dedication to heal, to serve, and to bring happiness through our care. Every child born here is a reminder of the trust families place in us, and we remain fully committed to honouring that trust with the highest standards of clinical excellence and compassion.”
Today, LKAM Hospital operates as a 30-bed multispecialty centre, offering a wide range of medical services including emergency care, obstetrics, paediatrics, general medicine, dentistry, and ophthalmology. Equipped with modern diagnostics and a dedicated clinical team, the hospital treats 100–150 patients daily, becoming a dependable point of care for surrounding villages.
The 300 successful deliveries, which include both normal and high-risk cases, represent the core purpose for which the hospital was established strengthening healthcare access in a region that has long struggled with limited medical resources. Notably, the hospital has maintained zero maternity deaths to date, a testament to its commitment to safe and quality maternal care.
The hospital also provides modern healthcare services free of charge, guided by Mr. Prabhakaran’s philosophy that institutions must outlast individuals and that business success must go hand in hand with social responsibility and community upliftment in the areas it serves.
As LKAM Hospital celebrates this milestone, it reaffirms its commitment to delivering accessible, compassionate, and high-quality healthcare to every family in Gadchiroli.
