Koraput, 3rd Nov 2025: The grand annual Koraputia Traditional Adivasi Pushyapuni Festival will be held in Jeypore from January 2 to 9, 2026. It has been decided to organize this festival in a more independent and elaborate manner under the supervision of the Koraputia Kala O Kalakar Sangha (Koraputia Art and Artists Association).
A meeting of artists was held at the Gitanjali Sabha Mandap in the Power House Colony, presided over by the association’s president Manoj Patra. Responding to an appeal by the secretary and noted musician Dhiren Mohan Pattnayak, many artists from across the district will participate in the festival.
Compared to previous years, it was decided in the meeting to introduce new themes and segments this time to make the event more entertaining and engaging for the public. To showcase local talent, there will be regional short film and drama competitions, along with tribal music and dance contests.

Additionally, major business organizations from across the country will be given opportunities to set up exhibition and sales stalls during the event. The organizers announced that several committees will be formed to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the festival.
