Kalahandi, March 9: A “Bhima Bhoi Samarthya Camp” was successfully organized in Jaipatna Block to provide assistance and services to persons with disabilities.
Around 302 beneficiaries from different areas of the block participated in the camp. During the programme, beneficiaries were examined by a team of specialist doctors from various departments.
The medical team included orthopedic specialist Dr. Pramathesh Kashyap Panda, psychiatrist Dr. Cheturam Meher, ENT specialist Dr. Pradyumna Kishore Panda, and eye specialist Dr. Lopamudra Bishi. Audiologist Aradhana Behura, physiotherapist Dr. Sambit Swaroop Panda, and other supporting staff were also present and provided services.
After medical examinations, the beneficiaries were issued disability certificates, and arrangements were made to provide them pension benefits in the future. On this occasion, three beneficiaries were also provided with wheelchairs.
Officials and staff of the block administration were present at the camp and assisted in the smooth conduct of the programme.
