New Delhi, Nov 18: Aanya Baxi, a student leader passionate about inclusive education and social innovation, represented India at the International Baccalaureate (IB) Global Conference 2025 held in The Hague, Netherlands.

She was selected as the only Indian and one of 12 students globally to join the inaugural IB Youth Advisory Council, chosen from over 1,400 applicants across 160 countries. The Council works directly with IB leadership to integrate student perspectives on inclusion and well-being into the organization’s global framework.

At the conference, which brought together over 1,600 educators and policymakers, Aanya addressed delegates on accessibility in education and led discussions with IB senior leaders. Her participation reflected the growing role of student voices in shaping equitable learning systems worldwide.

Speaking about her experience, Aanya said;

 “Being part of the IB Youth Council was an incredible opportunity to show that inclusion is not just an idea it’s a practice we can design into every classroom and community. Representing India on a global stage reminded me that meaningful change begins with empathy and collaboration. When students are given a seat at the table, education becomes not only transformative but truly inclusive for all.”

The IB Global Conference is the organization’s flagship international event, recognized for setting global directions in education. The 2025 edition marked the historic launch of the Youth Advisory Council, a step toward embedding authentic student input in IB’s strategic vision.

Aanya’s representation on this platform highlights India’s contribution to global education discourse and underscores the leadership potential of young changemakers driving inclusion and innovation in learning.
