Bhadrak, July 20 (UDN): The annual Shravan Yatra commenced at the revered Baba Akhandalamani Temple in Aradi Dham of Odisha’s Bhadrak district, drawing hundreds of Kanwariya devotees on the first Monday of the holy month of Shravan.

From the early hours of the morning, devotees carrying sacred water in decorated kanwars arrived at the shrine to perform the traditional Jalabhishek (holy water offering) to Lord Baba Akhandalamani. The temple premises echoed with devotional chants of “Bol Bam” and “Har Har Mahadev” as worshippers queued patiently to seek the blessings of the deity.
The first Monday of Shravan holds special religious significance for devotees of Lord Shiva, making it one of the busiest days of the annual pilgrimage. Temple authorities made elaborate arrangements for smooth darshan, crowd management, security, drinking water, and other essential facilities to accommodate the large influx of pilgrims.
The month-long Shravan Yatra is expected to witness thousands of devotees from different parts of Odisha and neighbouring states visiting the sacred shrine to offer prayers and participate in the religious festivities.
The annual pilgrimage is considered one of the most important spiritual events in northern Odisha, reflecting the deep faith and devotion of Lord Shiva’s followers.
