Bhubaneswar, July 14 (UDN): Several districts of Odisha experienced heavy to very heavy rainfall in the past 24 hours, according to the latest report released by the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.

As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD) data recorded till 8:30 am, Kendrapada received the highest rainfall in the state. Rajnagar in Kendrapada recorded 155 mm of rainfall, while Aul received 126 mm.

Heavy showers were also reported from other parts of the state. NH-5 at Govindpur in Balasore recorded 121.4 mm rainfall, while Bari in Jajpur received 120.1 mm. Betanati in Mayurbhanj also witnessed significant rainfall, recording 101.1 mm.

The IMD reported very heavy rainfall at four stations and heavy rainfall at 14 stations across Odisha. Districts including Kendrapada, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, and Bhadrak witnessed intense monsoon activity.

The weather department has advised people to stay alert as rainfall activity is expected to continue in several parts of the state.
