Grand Thakurani Yatra Begins in Umerkote Amid Devotional Fervour and Cultural Celebrations

Umerkote, March 28: The nine-day annual Thakurani Yatra has commenced with great devotion and enthusiasm.
The Goddess set out from the Mangala Temple and, after her first night halt at Bhitargada, began her nine-day ceremonial tour of the town as Maa Jagat Janani. In front of the residence of Yudhishthir Majhi on Jharigaon Road, the ritual offering ceremony was completed, followed by the sacred Aarti celebration. Devotees then escorted the Goddess in a grand procession.
The chief priest of the festival, along with many devotees, participated in the rituals. On the first day of the Yatra, Jharigaon Road was crowded with devotees who gathered in large numbers to witness the auspicious procession.
