Nabarangpur, May 20: A meeting was held at the BJP office in Umarkote of Nabarangpur district with all the newly selected district office-bearers of the party.
Keeping in view the upcoming Panchayat elections, detailed discussions were held with the newly appointed office-bearers regarding strategies to ensure a massive victory for the BJP in the elections and how sharp political planning could influence voters effectively.
Among those who attended as distinguished guests were former Kalahandi MP Himanshu Meher, Nabarangpur MLA Gourishankar Majhi, Jharigaon MLA Narsing Bhatra, former Nabarangpur MP Parshuram Majhi, Nabarangpur district co-incharge Godabarish Patra, former district president Jagadish Bisoyi and former district president Gobinda Jain.
Discussions were also held regarding preparations for upcoming district-level training programmes and related organizational matters.
The meeting was conducted by district general secretary Suresh Acharya.
The newly appointed Morcha presidents present at the meeting included Farmers’ Morcha president Jagadish Kallar, Minority Morcha president Pabitra Garada, SC Morcha president Mihir Dhali, ST Morcha president Birendra Pujari and Mahila Morcha president Mandira Nayak, who formally took charge of their responsibilities.
The programme was attended by BJP district president Kunj Bihari Das as chief guest, along with BJP state vice-president Ramesh Chandra Sahu.
