Jharsuguda:July 14 [UDN}: A district-level revenue review meeting was held in the DMF Conference Hall under the chairmanship of Jharsuguda District Collector Kunal Motiram Chavan. Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) Lalit Soren and Sub-Collector Sabyasachi Panda were present and actively participated in the discussions.

At the outset of the meeting, a detailed review was conducted regarding the achievement of revenue collection targets fixed for various government departments in the district. The District Collector reviewed the revenue collection status of major departments including Revenue, Excise, Transport, Registration Office, Mining, and Water Resources.

Special discussions were held on farmer registration, speedy disposal of mutation cases, and the process of land classification change under Section 8(A) of the OLR Act. The District Collector directed all concerned officials to ensure the issuance of all types of certificates and delivery of public services within the stipulated time frame as prescribed under the Odisha Right to Public Services (ORTPS) Act.

The meeting also reviewed the progress relating to unrecorded land settlements, certificate cases, eviction of encroachments from government land, and the scanning and digitization of government records.

District Collector Mr. Chavan placed special emphasis on resolving land-related issues of all government schools in the district. He instructed revenue officials to complete the regularization of school lands within a fixed timeline.

All Tahasildars of the district and senior officials of the Revenue Department were present during the meeting.
