Nandapur,July 20 [UDN}:: A 64% physically disabled resident, Ram Sethi of Kulabarsing village under Nandapur Panchayat in Koraput district, has been issued an Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) ration card under the government’s food security scheme.
The card was provided on Saturday after a report highlighting his plight was published in Dharitri newspaper. Acting on the instructions of Nandapur BDO Durga Prasad Dora, the Block Supply Department verified Ram’s family condition and disability certificate.
Following the verification, Ram’s e-KYC was completed, and the Antyodaya card was issued. He will now receive 35 kg of rice every month, which is expected to significantly support his family’s livelihood.
Block Supply Inspector Balaram Jena confirmed the development. Ram Sethi expressed his gratitude to Dharitri, local social worker Shashi Pattnaik, and the district administration for their timely support
