Baragarh, July 8 (UDN): A Class VIII student was killed after being hit by a private bus near the private bus stand in Baragarh district on Wednesday, sparking concern among local residents over road safety in the area.
The deceased was identified as Ronak Jha (14), a resident of Subhash Nagar in Baragarh. He was a Class VIII student of Hindi High School in the district.
According to reports, Ronak was on his way to school on his bicycle when the private bus hit him near the bus stand. He sustained critical injuries in the accident and was declared dead at the spot.
Following the incident, tension prevailed in the area as local residents gathered at the accident site and raised concerns over the lack of adequate safety measures.
