Bhubaneswar: Sept 28 [UDN}:Health Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling visited Apollo Hospital in Bhubaneswar and interacted with patients receiving treatment under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. During the visit, he discussed with beneficiaries the healthcare facilities and services they were availing through the Ayushman Card.
The Minister particularly interacted with patients undergoing cancer treatment under the scheme and enquired about their treatment experience, the quality of medical services and the facilities being provided to them through the Ayushman Card.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi for ensuring access to such healthcare benefits. They said that the scheme has helped them receive essential and specialised treatment without having to bear the entire financial burden themselves.
Dr. Mahaling emphasised that ensuring quality and affordable healthcare for the people remains a top priority of the government. He said continued efforts would be made to strengthen healthcare services and ensure that eligible beneficiaries can access treatment and financial support through government health schemes without difficulty.
The visit also highlighted the government’s focus on ensuring that the benefits of health insurance and cashless treatment schemes reach patients, particularly those requiring expensive and specialised care such as cancer treatment.
