Puri. Sept 28 [UDN}: Aiming to create greater public awareness about the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) has launched a special “Solar Rath” campaign in Pipili block of Puri district.
The Solar Rath was flagged off from the premises of the Pipili Block Development Officer’s office in the presence of Puri MP Sambit Patra and Pipili MLA Ashrit Patnaik. The awareness vehicle will travel through different villages of the block to provide residents with information about the benefits of the rooftop solar programme.
During its village-level outreach, the Solar Rath will explain the financial benefits available under the scheme, government subsidies and the process involved in installing rooftop solar systems. The initiative is intended to help people understand how they can adopt solar energy for household electricity requirements and reduce their dependence on conventional power.
The campaign also seeks to encourage more households to explore rooftop solar installations and make use of the benefits available under the PM Surya Ghar scheme.
Through the initiative, TPCODL is promoting the use of clean and renewable energy, while encouraging households to reduce their electricity expenditure and contribute to a greener and more sustainable future.
