Kotpad: Sept 28 [UDN}:Flood-affected villagers in Kotpad have expressed hope of receiving government assistance after Odisha Chief Minister visited their village and took stock of the situation caused by the recent floods.
According to the affected residents, the Chief Minister personally visited their village and interacted with the people affected by the flooding. The villagers said they were able to see the Chief Minister from close quarters during his visit and share their concerns regarding the damage caused by the floodwaters.
The flood victims said the Chief Minister assured them that the administration would assess the extent of damage caused by the floods and, based on the assessment, necessary assistance would be provided to the affected families.
The villagers have welcomed the assurance and said they are now hopeful that the government will take steps to provide relief and support to families who suffered losses during the floods. They also expressed gratitude for the Chief Minister’s visit, stating that his direct interaction with affected residents gave them confidence that their grievances would be taken into consideration.
