Government Approves 5,000 Additional Medical Seats

Bhubaneswar, 27th Sept 2025:  5,000 medical seats have been increased in government medical colleges across the country.  The Union Cabinet has approved the expansion of medical education capacity. Approval has been granted for the large-scale expansion of postgraduate and undergraduate medical education in the country. The Union Cabinet has approved an increase of 5,023 MBBS seats.  The Cabinet has also approved an increase of 5,000 PG (postgraduate) medical seats.
